Reiki for Kids in Dallas and Allen, Texas offers a gentle, child-centered experience designed to provide a calm and supportive space for relaxation, grounding, emotional well-being, and self-connection.
Children can experience stress, big emotions, changes, worries, and periods when they simply need additional support. Reiki provides quiet, intentional time where your child can relax and receive gentle energy work in an environment adapted to their age, personality, and comfort level.
My Children's Reiki sessions are available for children ages 0–13, with each experience personalized to the individual child.

Reiki does not require a child to explain everything they are feeling. The experience can remain gentle and simple, especially for younger children.
Reiki is a gentle Japanese energy practice commonly used as a complementary wellness practice to encourage relaxation, calm, grounding, and overall well-being.
During a Children's Reiki session, Reiki is adapted to your child's age, attention span, comfort, and individual needs.
Children remain fully clothed, and Reiki may be offered through gentle hands-on or near-body techniques according to the child's and parent's preferences.
There is never any pressure for a child to participate in something that makes them uncomfortable.
Before the session begins, we take a little time to understand what brought you and your child in and anything you feel would be helpful for me to know.
I also take time to help your child feel comfortable with me and with the space.
The Reiki portion is kept gentle, relaxed, and age-appropriate. Depending on the child's age and needs, the session may also incorporate simple grounding, breathing, visualization, crystals, or chakra awareness.
Children do not need to remain perfectly still or have a particular experience for Reiki to be offered.
The goal is to create a space where your child feels comfortable, respected, and supported.
Every child is different.
Some children are naturally curious about Reiki and energy. Others may simply enjoy having quiet time in a peaceful environment.
I follow the child's comfort level rather than forcing a particular experience.
If your child doesn't want to discuss something, they do not have to. If they need a little time to become comfortable, we allow for that as well.
The child's sense of choice, comfort, and personal boundaries remains important throughout the session.
Children don't always have the words to explain what they're experiencing.
Changes such as moving, changing schools, parental separation or divorce, the loss of someone important, changes within the family, or other major transitions can sometimes bring emotions that are difficult for a child to understand or express.
Reiki can provide complementary wellness support centered around relaxation, grounding, emotional awareness, and a peaceful environment while the child adjusts to what is happening around them.
When a child needs professional mental-health or behavioral support, Reiki should be used alongside—not instead of—appropriate care from qualified professionals.
These are two different experiences.
Reiki for Kids is an individual session focused specifically on your child's needs and experience.
Parent & Child Reiki is a shared Reiki experience designed for a parent and child to participate in together.
If your child is comfortable receiving an individual session, Reiki for Kids may be the better choice. If you would prefer to experience Reiki together, the Parent & Child session may be more appropriate.
Reiki for Kids is available in person in Dallas, Texas, and in Allen at Mindful Mermaid.
Distance Reiki for children is also available when receiving Reiki from home is more comfortable or practical for the child and family.
